About Danna Faulds

Poet and author Danna Faulds profile picture

Danna Faulds writes each morning as part of her meditation and yoga practice. Over the years, her poetry and prose has found an audience in many kindred spirits walking their own paths of transformation, along with a host of spiritual teachers, yoga and mindfulness instructors, therapists, ministers, hospice counselors, and others in the helping professions. She finds the broader appeal of these messages, written strictly to herself, nothing short of miraculous.

The first half of Danna’s working life was spent as a librarian and archivist. Stepping outside of convention, she joined the residential staff of Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in its ashram heyday. It was there in 1990 that she began her daily writing practice and has never looked back.

Danna is the author of seven books of poetry and two memoirs. Her poetry has appeared in many articles, books, and websites. While she liberally allows its use, she requests that people ask for written permission, which enables her to ensure the actual poems are being used versus the often-incorrect versions circulating on the internet.

Danna currently lives on eight rural acres in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Along with deepening her yoga and writing practice, she enjoys feeding the birds, gardening, weaving, reading, and bicycling rail-trails with her husband, Richard Faulds.

All of Danna’s books are available at Amazon.com. If you live in the United States, you can order them directly from her by e-mailing yogapoems@aol.com. She offers a wholesale discount to everyone who orders at least five books at a time.
